Nick Scouloukas, 90, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in St. Clair Hospital.
He was born January 16, 1935, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Gust and Doris Parikakis Scouloukas.
Mr. Scouloukas was a lifetime member of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, in Canonsburg. He was also a lifetime member of AHEPA, Chapter 156, and the Pan Rhodian Society.
On April 24, 1960, he married his loving wife Bessie Sarikakis Scouloukas, who survives.
He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and retired as the Senior Project Manager from A.C. Dellovade, Inc., in Canonsburg. He also served and chaired for North Strabane's Planning and Zoning Commission for many years.
In the late 1950's, he served in the United States Navy, aboard the USS Amphion, as the assistant navigator for ComSevRon 6, in the Mediterranean.
After retirement, he was the designated Project Manager for the construction of the new All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, on West McMurray Road. He also served as Project Manager for the HUD sponsored AHEPA apartments behind the church. He served as chairman of the Scholarship Committee for AHEPA and the Pan Rhodian Society, and helped raise over $250,000 for member's children's scholarships. For this and other efforts, he was voted AHEPA "Man of the Year" for 2007 and also 2008.
In his later years, he enjoyed going to the Canonsburg Senior Center to play pinochle and trivia contests. He also served on several fund raising efforts for the Senior Center.
In addition to his loving wife Bessie, he is survived by his children, Marjorie (Greg) Severyn, Doreen (Victor) Vendetti, and Sam (Ana) Scouloukas; grandchildren, Dr. Nick (Lauren) Severyn, Michael Severyn, Melina (Matt) Vendetti, Angelia Vendetti, Damian Scouloukas and Dalila Scouloukas; great grandchildren, Graham and Savannah Severyn.
Mr. Scouloukas was preceded in death by his brothers, James and John Scouloukas.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, 4-8pm, at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, PA, 15317, Phillip L. Sollon, Supervisor, 724-746-1000. Trisagion will be held in the funeral home, Sunday, at 7pm.
Additional visitation will be held in the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 601 W. McMurray Road, Canonsburg, PA, 15317, Monday, 10-11am. Services will be held at 11am in the church, followed by burial in the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund, in Mr. Nick Scouloukas's name.
