Nancy L. Almasy, 80, of Canonsburg, died Monday, October 16, 2023.
She was born February 1, 1943, in Canonsburg, a daughter of John and Anna Gresko Almasy.
Ms. Almasy was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and loved her pets.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as an executive secretary in the steel industry.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, John (Toni) Debbis of Cecil, Michael (Dale) Debbis, of Canonsburg, Debra (Richard) Behling, of Cecil, Michael (Jane) Almasy, of Canonsburg, Maria (Eric) McGrosky of Clinton, Melanie (John) Faigley, of Canonsburg, Robert (Trish) Almasy, of Ellicot, Maryland, Richard Almasy, of Grapevine, Texas, Jack (Barb) Vehar, of Waynesburg, Thomas (Tamme) Vehar, of Houston, Timothy Vehar, of Strabane; her sister in law, Rose Almasy, of Washington; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Nancy was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Edward Almasy, and her sisters, Mary Vehar and Matilda "Tillie" Debbis; and her niece, Donna DeVitis.
Friends will be received Friday, 3-8pm, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Panachida service will be held Friday at 7pm in the funeral home.
Services will be held Saturday, at 9:30am in the funeral home, followed by divine liturgy at 10am, in St. Michael Byzantine Church.
Interment will follow in the St. Michael 's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
