Michael L. "Larry" Luisi, Jr. 83, of Niles, Ohio, formerly of Meadowlands, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
He was born June 22, 1936, in Canonsburg, a son of Michael and Evelyn DePalma Luisi.
On November 16, 1957, he married Virginia Golitz Luisi, who survives. He was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion Post, 902, Houston. For 38 years, he owned and operated Larry's Auto Service in Meadowlands. He loved stock car racing, and in the 1960s and 1970s, he built and raced his own cars. Mr. Luisi enjoyed remote control airplanes, and loved traveling with his wife. They especially enjoyed ballroom dancing together.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Richard (Amy Barger) Luisi, of Niles, Ohio; two sisters, Connie Bielick, of Naples, Florida, and Vera Albanese, of Washington, several nephews and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Luisi.
Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Family and friends are welcome Tuesday, from 2-7pm, in the funeral home. Departing prayers will be said in the funeral home Wednesday, at 9:15am, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Meadowlands. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
