Garrett Evan Delvecchio, 21, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
He was born in Washington, a son of Dennis and Christine Thompson Delvecchio.
Garrett was a 2017 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. He later attended Penn State University.
He worked at Chipoltle, at the Old Mill Shopping Center in Washington. Garrett was a soft spoken young man who was a good friend and had good friends. He enjoyed online gaming, was a Starwars fan, and enjoyed trips to the beach. Mostly, Garrett enjoyed time spent with his family, whom he loved. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Thompson, of Muse, paternal grandmother, Lynn Delvecchio, of Canonsburg; his uncles, Scott Thompson, of Muse, Frank (Lori) Thompson, of McDonald; his aunt, Kelly (Mike) Palombo, of Mt. Lebanon; and his cousins, Tyler and Maria Palombo.
Garrett was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dennis Delvecchio and Mary Brushneck, and his maternal grandfather, James Thompson.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, from 1-4pm and 6-9pm and Monday from 10-11am. Services will be held at 11am in the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. In the interest of public safety, everyone is asked to wear facial coverings and observe social distancing. Burial will follow services in the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
