Carolyn F. (Martin) Fela

Carolyn F. Fela, 78, of Houston, went to be with the Lord while in her home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

Carolyn was born November 1, 1942 in Houston, a daughter of  Andrew and Elizabeth Martin. 

She spent most of her life in Houston. She was a devout member of St. Patrick's Church and was an active member of The Ladies of Charity and the Christian Mothers, as well as the Chartiers-Houston Senior Citizens group.  She worked most of her life at the Meadows Racetrack as a waitress.  She enjoyed playing cards and bowling in her spare time, and was a member of the Wednesday Afternoon Bowling League at West Pike Bowl in Canonsburg.  She was a graduating member of the Senior Class of 1960 of Chartiers-Houston High School.  She was the youngest of 9 children.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronald Fela, as well as her son, Ron Fela. Also surviving are two sisters, Theresa (Andrew)  Timan of McMurray , and  Elizabeth (Frank) Sebastian, of Houston, and one sister-in-law, Anita (Robert) Martin of Imperial. On her husband's side, also survived by three brothers-in-law, Alan, Richard, and Dennis Fela, and one sister-in-law, Pam Germony, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are five brothers, Andrew, John, Joseph, Robert and Edward  Martin, one sister, Marjorie Medofer.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 29, 2020, from 2- 4 pm and 6 -8 pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. In the continued interest of public safety, state regulations will be enforced and everyone is required to wear a facial covering.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, of St. Oscar Romero Parish, on Monday, at 10:00 am.

Interment will be on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at 2:30 pm, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.  Please meet at the cemetery, where masks are required for all attendees, while at the cemetery.
