Robert S. Rearick, 98, of McDonald, formerly of Munhall, died Monday, November 26, 2018.
He was born July 7, 1920, in Pittsburgh, a son of John A. and Margaret A. Smith Rearick.
He was Methodist.
He was a member of the Homestead Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners.
Mr. Rearick proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, during World War II, as a Motor Machinist's Mate Second Class.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a mechanical engineer at Mesta Machine.
On March 30, 1943, he married Ruth Mildred Baldwin, with whom he shared over 55 years of marriage, who died September 29, 1998.
Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Chir (Dave Parsons), Martha (William) Grib, of Belle Vernon, JoAnn Zimmerman, of Springfield, Virginia; his son, Robert T. (Julie) Rearick, of Timonium, Maryland; five grandchildren, Meghan (Chris) Gough, Richard (Erica) Zimmerman, Martha (Scott) Kachman, Alexandra (Mark) Stevens, Tony (Tammy) Rearick, 6 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Miller, and one grandchild, Beth Calvano, and son-in-law, Richard Zimmerman..
