Joseph Samuel Moore, III, 76, of Canonsburg, died Friday, December 6, 2019.
He was born April 15, 1943, in Washington, a son of Dr. Joseph S Moore, Jr. and Margaret Hobek Moore. He was Presbyterian.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired after 37 years from working at the US Postal Service.
Joseph was a member of the V.F.W. post 553, the American Legion, post 902, and the Labor Temple.
Surviving are his sons, Brian J (Suzanne) Moore, of Montrose, Colorado, Darren E. (Jamie) Moore, of Witchita, Kansas; three brothers, all of Canonsburg, John P. (Anna Mae) Moore, James W. (Michele) Moore, of Jeffrey A. (Betty) Moore, three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Max, and Kaylie; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received Monday 4-8 pm, December 9, 2019 at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held in the funeral home, Tuesday, at 10am.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
