John C. "Yush" Grudi

John C. "Yush" Grudi, 80, of Houston, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 1, 2019, in his home.
He was born August 13, 1938, in Washington, a son of John F. Grudi and Elizabeth "Betty" Munce Gilbert. 
Mr. Grudi proudly served his country with the United States Air Force.
He was Presbyterian, and a member of the American Legion, post 902.
Mr. Grudi enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards with his family and friends.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Continental Can Company, and later for Timberline Packaging.
On June 25, 1966, he married his loving wife of over 52 years, Dawna Jo Chastel Grudi, who survives. 
Also surviving are his sons, Andrew John (Iris) Grudi, of Santa Rita, Guam, David William Grudi, of Houston; his daughter, Holly Lynn Grudi Jensen, of Houston; grandchildren, Alyssa Grudi, Caitlyn Black, Garrett Sollon, and Kadence Grudi; sister, Janice Grudi Butterfield, of Canonsburg; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Grudi Thurman.
Friends will be received Tuesday, 2-7pm, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
Services will be held in the funeral home, Tuesday, at 7pm. Burial will be private.
The family extends a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
