Frank Z. Dessify

Frank Z. Dessify, 61, of Canonsburg, died on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Washington Hospital after suffering for 3 months from complications following outpatient hernia surgery.  He was born on November 19, 1956, in Allegheny County, a son of the late Zolton F. Dessify.  He worked in construction and warehouse jobs before an early retirement due to a back injury. Frank loved cats and was dedicated to caring daily for a group of outdoor cats by providing them with food, shelter and medical care.  His life revolved around these cats and he went to great lengths to make sure they were spayed, neutered and vaccinated.  He was especially devoted to his 2 indoor cats, Stinker and Mr. Button, and was looking forward to getting out of the hospital to see them.  Frank leaves behind his good friends, Walt Smith and Freeda Beck, Betty Murdy, Lee Wilson, Gina Nestor and many others.  Funeral services and burial in the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, were private.
