Natalie Puchany Kakias, 91, of Warren, Ohio, formerly of Canonsburg, died Monday, May 9, 2016, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio, following a short illness.

She was born December 25, 1924, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Antonio and Fannie Whiteman Puchany.

Natalie was a 1944 graduate of Canonsburg High School. Prior to her retirement in 1994, she was an assistant foreman at RCA. She was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Canon McMillan School District for 20 years. She was a member and volunteer at the Canonsburg Senior Center.

Natalie lived in Canonsburg for 89 years, and moved to Warren, Ohio, in 2014, to be near her children.

Surviving are her son, Michael Kakias, and his wife Karla, of Stow, Ohio; daughter, Darleen Carey, and her husband, Tom, of Warren, Ohio; two grandchildren, James J. Kakias, and Michael M. Kakias; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Natalie was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Kakias, who died February 2, 1994; brothers, James, Andrew, and Fred (Ted)Puchany; sisters, Angeline Millikin and Sarah Thomas; nephews, Anthony Millikin and Mark Puchany.

Visitation Thursday, 4-7pm, in the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, at 10am, in Holy Rosary Church, Muse, followed by burial in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
