Mary C. Smith, 99, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Greensburg Care Center.

She was born February 10, 1917, in New Salem, a daughter of the late Metro and Mary Ciccura Chismody.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a nurse at Woodville State Hospital, where she received employee recognition awards.

Surviving are her son, Terrance Weishner of Greensburg; daughter, Jeanette Rohrbach, and her husband Rodger, of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Sharon Rohrbach, Greg Rohrbach, Sara Harper, Jessica Weishner, Brian Weishner, several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Smith, who died May 31, 1995, brothers, Frank, Charles, Steve, and John Chismody, sisters, Ann Kulish and Sophie Chismody.

Friends will be received Sunday 4-8pm at the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Departing prayers will be held in the funeral home, Monday, at 11:30am, followed by Mass of Christian burial, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, at noon.

Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
