Henry E. Norwood, 84, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

He was born January 23, 1932, in Canonsburg, son of the late Henry and Gladys Smith Norwood.

Mr. Norwood enjoyed photography and fishing, and was a proud graduate of Penn State University. He enjoyed wrestling and football and was a fan of Penn State Sports.

He served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as an Electrical Engineer.

On June 18, 1955, he married Dolores Rakiecz Norwood, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Kenneth Norwood, and his wife Kimberly, of Plum; daughters, Audrey King, and her husband Paul, of Ohio Twp., Karen Evanetz, and her husband David, of Holland, Susan Norwood, of Bethel Park, Valerie Skurka, and her husband Edward, of Middlesex Twp., and 8 grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

A blessing service will be held Saturday at 10am, in the Sollon Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, with full military rites accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 191 honor guard.
