Gregory Paul Holmes, 42, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

He was born September 3, 1973, in Washington, a son of Robert E. Holmes, Jr., and Jo Anna Lovelace Kellogg.

Gregory worked at Jimmy's Restaurant and later at the Southpointe Country Club as a prep cook.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, baseball, and loved his English Mastiff, Yatsko.

Surviving are his father, Robert E. Holmes, Jr., and his loving step-mother, Bonnie, of Washington; mother, Jo Anna Kellogg, of Sebring, Ohio; brother, Damon (Chelly) Holmes, of Canonsburg; sister, Dreama (Bill) Mecklenburg, of Cleveland, Ohio; nephew Dale; niece, Melissa; great niece, Aliyah; several half brothers; half sisters; Uncles and Aunts; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Martha May Holmes.

Arrangements entrusted to the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000. A celebration of Gregory's life will be held Friday, July 15, 2016, from 6-8pm, in the Sollon Funeral Home.
