Gladys Petrone, 74, of Canonsburg, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Friday, October 7, 2016.

She was born February 24, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of William and Bernice Simanaitis Balena.

She was Catholic. Gladys loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Dean (Rolyndia) Petrone, of Canonsburg; sister, Ann Rae, of West Newton; 4 grand children, Blaise, Rhianna, Cara, and Dean Petrone, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Balena; and sister, Carol Fallon.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 20, 2016, at 10am, in the St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg, followed by burial in the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to the Canonsburg Ambulance Service, 209 W. Pike Street Canonsburg PA 15317, in Gladys Petrone's name.
