Frank Bysick, Jr. Obituary

Frank R. Bysick, Jr. 73, of Houston, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, after a brief illness.

He was born June 24, 1944 in Harlingen, Texas, a son of Frank R. and Sara Puskar Bysick. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Washington. Frank proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Air Force.

Prior to his retirement, Frank worked as a machinist for Frazier Simplex. He was a classic car enthusiast, and enjoyed going to local car cruises. He most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially going to his grandsons' hockey games, and watching his granddaughter perform at football games. Frank was a founding member of the New Life Church, where he was active with the Men's Group and was a greeter at both the Canonsburg and Washington churches.

Surviving are one son, Scott Bysick, and his wife, Jill, of Perrysburg, OH, one daughter, Tammi Wessel, and her husband, Jerry, of Houston, one sister, Joyce Shaffer of Jacksonville, FL, five grandchildren, Riley Bysick, Xander Bysick, Morgan Wessel, Nathaniel Dawson, Nicholas Tudi, and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Louise Bysick, who passed December 17, 2015, one daughter, Terri Jobkar, one sister, Bonnie Lindley, two brothers, Dennis Brillo, Albert Brillo.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, on Wednesday, at the Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Services will be held in the funeral home at 11:30, on Thursday, February 1, 2018, with Pastor Nathan Miller, officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, with full military rites accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post 191, honor guard.
