Elizabeth L. Platt, 90, of Houston, died Friday, January 6, 2017, in Bridgeville Rehabilitation and Care.

She was born August 27, 1926 in Buffalo, a daughter of William and Edith Roth Lansker.

Mrs. Platt was a homemaker, who enjoyed reading and crocheting. She taught reading to children at St. Thomas Moore School and also while she resided in Myrtle Beach. On April 2, 1948, she married Richard O. Platt, who died on June 15, 2015.

Surviving are sons, William R. (Kathy Bowen) Platt of Houston, James R. (Ann) Platt of Pittsburgh, and Robert J. (Bernice) Platt of Cary, NC, four grandchildren, Andrew Platt, Katharine Platt, Tara Platt, and Eva Platt. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Lansker.

Friends will be received from 4 pm to 8 pm , on Monday, January 9, at the Sollon Funeral Home, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

Departing prayers will be held at 9:00, on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
