Dorothy Gorman, 93, of Canonsburg, formerly of Florida, died Thursday, August 10, 2017.

She was born December 25, 1923 in Hampstead, North Carolina, a daughter of David and Mary Sullivan Howard.

Mrs. Gorman was a dedicated wife and homemaker.

Surviving are three sons, Robert W. Gorman and his wife, of Canonsburg, James A. Gorman and his wife Tamara of California, and Richard M. Gorman and his wife Leigh of Georgia, two daughters, Mary Suzanne Gorman of New York, and Louise McKnight, and her husband, Jimmy, of Lakeland, FL, two brothers, Julius Howard and his wife Ruby of Wilmington, NC and Frank Howard of Myrtle Beach, NC and one sister, Cathy Murphy, of Charleston, SC, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Gorman, and one daughter, Patricia Johnson.

Florida visitation and services are entrusted to Gentry-Morrison Funeral Homes in Lakeland, Florida, with burial at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida.
